# Your first decision

> Read your first agent decision and test a Rule.

Source: https://docs.synkro.sh/first-decision

First [verify a new decision](/onboarding/verify-events) for `git status --short`. Then read its outcome.

## Read the result

Your project's Rules decide the outcome:

- `allow` or `flag`: the command can run.
- `ask`: Synkro needs your approval before the same action is retried.
- `block`: the action is refused. A matching `fix` Rule also refuses it, with instructions to correct it.

Read the matching Rule and reason with:

```sh
synkro events --type verdict --limit 5 --details
```

See [Rule outcomes](/concepts/decisions) for how Synkro combines matching Rules.

Synkro messages start with `[⧉ synkro]` so you can distinguish them from the agent's own reply.

## Test a block

Add the [tutorial Rule](/guides/rules#test-a-rule), then ask your agent to run `printf synkro-rule-demo`. Synkro blocks that exact command and records the matching Rule.

No new decision? Return to [agent setup](/onboarding/coding-agents) or [Troubleshooting](/troubleshooting).
