Setup checklist

Check your account, installation, repository, and first agent decision.

Use the Quickstart to set up Synkro with your agent. This checklist helps you confirm each step or check an existing installation.

Before you start

  • Your email. Your agent can request access if you do not already have an approved account.
  • A supported machine: Apple Silicon Mac, or Linux on x86_64 or ARM64.
  • A supported agent installed on that machine.
  • A Git repository where you want to use Synkro.

The current release does not provide Windows or Intel Mac binaries.

Complete setup

  1. Install and sign in. Confirm your account with synkro whoami.
  2. Run synkro status. Confirm the service is healthy and enforcement is active. Follow any setup instructions it reports. An owner can add funds if needed.
  3. In your repository, run synkro init if it has no synkro.toml, then synkro lock.
  4. Start a new agent session and approve its Synkro hooks if asked.
  5. Verify a new decision for git status --short.

No new decision? Use Troubleshooting. To test blocking, use the tutorial Rule.
